Two games sanction for Xavi and Raphinha

It was among the most probable and this afternoon the Competition Committee confirmed it. This body has imposed a two-game sanction on both the Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernández, and his striker Raphinha, for his expulsions in the Getafe field last Sunday.

Therefore, if some resource does not prosper, the Brazilian will not be able to be this Sunday against Cádiz or in the following day at the Villarreal stadium. In those two games Xavi will not direct his men from the bench.

Raphinha was sent off for hitting Gascón with his forearm after receiving forceful tackles during the match.

For his part, Xavi was sent off for protesting from the technical area. The referee of the match recorded the incident in the arbitration report as follows: "In the 70th minute, the coach Xavier Hernandez Creus was sent off for the following reason: Leaving his technical area with his arms raised towards the zone of my 4th referee protesting in a manner ostensible one of my decisions, having been previously warned by my 4th referee. Once expelled, he stayed at the mouth of the changing room tunnel, having to be warned by the field delegate for his eviction.

On the contrary, Xavi's subsequent statements attacking the refereeing and LaLiga for the short effective time are still under study by the RFEF Integrity Committee. In principle, the case will not be taken to Competition. Xavi pointed out that the referee, Soto Grado, had invented Gavi's hand prior to an unsigned penalty on Araújo.
