Three Kings Parade in Barcelona 2024: Schedule and route

The night of January 5 to 6 is one of the most magical and anticipated nights of the year in Spain, especially for the little ones. According to tradition, the Three Wise Men go around the houses leaving gifts for children who have behaved well and coal for those who have not done so well.

But the magic begins much earlier, on the afternoon of January 5, with the parades that tour the cities and towns of Spain. Among all, the Three Kings Parade of Barcelona stands out for its spectacular nature and its details, becoming an essential event for both residents and visitors.

The Three Wise Men will arrive at the Portal de la Pau aboard the Santa Eulàlia pailebota at 4:30 p.m. It will be then that Jaume Collboni offers them bread and salt as a symbol of welcome. In this way, His Majesties will begin their tour from 6:00 p.m.

The parade of the Catalan capital will start on Marquès de l'Argentera avenue and will go down Passeig Colom to Avda. parallel At around 19:30 it will arrive at the Ronda de Sant Pau, then passing through the Mercado de Sant Antoni and calle de Sepúlveda. Around 8:45 p.m. it will head to Plaza de Espanya and end at the Fuente Mágica de Montjuïc.

As detailed by Barcelona City Council on its website, limited capacity is not foreseen. Likewise, there will be spaces reserved for people with disabilities or functional diversity with an accreditation card.

Their Majesties' main parade is not the only one that will take place on the afternoon of January 5, as smaller parades will take place. This year there will be a total of 19 parades with different schedules, two more than last year.

In addition to the parade, Barcelona residents will be able to enjoy Christmas markets, ice rinks for skating and lights in all the streets of the Catalan capital. Likewise, the popular Toy Factory will open at Fabra i Coats.

A few days before the arrival of the kings of the East, the old Sant Andreu factory site is converted into an authentic Toy Factory that shows us how this very special process is carried out.
