Thousands of young people gather at an illegal 'rave' in Fuente Álamo

About five thousand people, according to the Civil Guard, have been gathered since last Saturday at a clandestine party or rave in Fuente Álamo (16,000 inhabitants) under the name 'big fucking party' located on the municipal speed circuit of this town at 38 kilometers from Murcia capital, and which remains active through a call made only through social networks.

Last year the event was in Peza (Granada) where nearly 15,000 people attended and, as on that occasion, the intention of the organizers is for the illegal party to extend for a few more days, even to the Three Kings' holiday if the authorities do not prevent it.

Dozens of passenger cars from all over Spain, vans, caravan cars, tents and even small conditioned trucks crowd the shoulders of the speedway in this semi-desert landscape in the south of the Region of Murcia.

The atmosphere is festive, with music in every corner and a great stage for DJs. Multiple groups of young people walk the circuit during the day in this remote area of the town's urban area.

According to witnesses collected by La Verdad, the chosen place is an area surrounded by mountains to dance, smoke and drink "without disturbing anyone" and without obeying anyone's rules because "this is the festival of freedom."

According to the same Murcia newspaper, there is no police force around the rave, but given the concern it has caused in the City Council and the Government Delegation, it is expected that from this Tuesday the Security Forces will begin to identify and to report attendees within the premises.

Raves are illegal parties held in abandoned infrastructures or outdoors that are characterized by their long duration and electronic music, whether techno, trance or house.
