Thousands of women cry out in the streets of Valencia "not one step back" in the face of the ultra threat

"For women's rights. Not one step back" is the motto with which hundreds of women take to the streets this Friday, summoned by the Feminist Movement of Valencia. The march, which started at seven in the afternoon in the Porta de la Mar in Valencia, will conclude in the Plaza de la Reina to "stand up to all the oppressions that women continue to suffer." The Feminist Movement of Valencia calls for this demonstration "with great concern about the setbacks that are happening within our Community, with a reduction by the Department of Justice in the number of people who have to care for women victims of gender violence and money destined for training", as its spokesperson Cándida Barroso explained this week when presenting the slogan of the march.

A little before the concentration of the Feminist Movement, the march called by the Feminist Assembly of Valencia has left the CIE de Zapadores, since once again Valencian feminism proposes two alternatives in this celebration of 8-M. His part of the idea "From misery to rage, from rage to fight!" and focuses on the misery "caused by unbridled capitalism, which preys on nature, towns and cities (...)".

The march points to the "genocide that Israel is perpetrating in Palestine" and, in a crazy way, demands that "the laws that persecute and criminalize sex workers be stopped, such as the proposals that are being developed right now in the Valencian Courts. We demand rights of sex workers, and that we work closely with them to establish and guarantee them.

Added to the protest proposals in Valencia are the other mobilizations that are held in other parts of the Valencian Community. In another of the capitals, Castelló de la Plana, hundreds of people gathered this morning, in the midst of the celebration of the Magdalena festivities, in the Plaza de la Paz in Castelló to participate in a demonstration, called by the Feminist Coordinator of Castelló, in which they have claimed "real" equality between men and women.

According to Europa Press, the participants -among whom there were representatives of various social groups, trade unions and political parties such as PSPV and Compromís-, walked the Calle Mayor enlivened by the dolçaina and the tabal to the cry of "No nos pararán", Live, live, live, the feminist struggle', 'If they touch one of us, they touch us all', 'From north to south, from east to west, the fight continues at any cost', or 'Tranquila hermana, here's your pack'.

In Alicante, where the parties with institutional representation in the City Council have shown division against the 8-M, this afternoon's demonstration started at 6:30 p.m. from the stairs of the Jorge Juan Institute. In Elx the march under the motto "For you, for me, for all" leaves at 7:30 p.m. and will depart from the Lucrecia Pérez Garden. The Assemblea 8M has called the march with which Elche will celebrate International Women's Day .
