The body of a man has been found by the Firefighters of the Valencia Provincial Consortium in the town of Bocairent during the work of extinguishing a forest fire, as sources from the Firefighters and the Civil Guard have informed EFE.
The firefighters received notification shortly before twelve noon this Friday of a forest fire due to a possible uncontrolled burning in the area of the old Bocairent railway and have moved three crews from the provincial consortium to the site.
During the work to control and extinguish the fire, the body has been found and the Civil Guard has been notified, which has indicated to EFE that at the moment the causes of this man's death are unknown and that we will have to wait until the results of the forensic report.
A fire engine and a unit of forest firefighters, volunteers from the Mariola Verda Forest Fire Group and an environmental agent also participate in the fire extinguishing work, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat.
The Coordination Center has established situation 1 of the Special Forest Fire Plan due to the proximity of non-forest assets to the site of the forest fire.
