The winning novel and the Planeta Prize finalist will hit bookstores on November 4

Readers will soon be able to enjoy Far from Louisiana by Luz Gabás, and Stories of Married Women by Cristina Campos, winner and finalist respectively of the 2022 Planeta Prize.

It will be on November 4 when both novels reach bookstores, as reported by the publisher this Friday.

Far from Louisiana is set in Louisiana at the end of the 18th century, in the midst of constant fighting between the French, English and Spanish, and tells the unusual love story between Ishcate, son of the chief of the Kaskaskia Indian tribe, and Suzette, a young Creole of New Orleans, with the mighty Mississippi River as a witness to his passion.

For its part, Stories of Married Women is a reflection on life, the truth of marriages, marital routine, women's desire, female intimacy and true love in which Campos naturally narrates the reality of many women contemporaries trapped in lives they never imagined.

This year's edition of the Planeta Prize has been headed by two women and, in the case of the finalist, a story from the experience of women has been awarded. This is how the relief of the last edition is taken, with Carmen Mola (the pseudonym of the writers Jorge Díaz, Agustín Martínez and Antonio Mercer) as the winner with the novel The Beast.

Luz Gabás and Cristina Campos are the protagonists of the Spanish publishing industry with their stories of love and heartbreak. Now the expectation has to wait for the publication of both novels, on November 4, which promise a great publishing success, as this contest predicts every year.
