The VII Spanish-German Business Meeting addresses the new competitiveness framework

The Rafael del Pino Auditorium in Madrid hosts the VII Spanish-German Business Meeting this Thursday, as the culmination of the events that have revolved around the thematic axis of the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain in 2023: "Business, Europe and competitiveness. Winning the international challenge". A day that "La Vanguardia" broadcasts in streaming through its website.

Osmar Polo, president of the German Chamber, and María Margarete Gosse, German ambassador to Spain, will inaugurate the event, whose institutional opening will be carried out by Xiana Méndez, Secretary of State for Commerce and president of ICEX Spain Export and Investment.

The program will be organized around two discussion tables. The first will deal with international business competitiveness and will feature the introduction of Carlos Mira, president of the CRE100DO Foundation. Silvana Buljan, Executive Director of Bond Emea, will be the moderator, while Bernardo Kanahuati, CEO of Bayer Hispania; Manuel Zafra, CEO of Merck; Sebastián Marchante, Head of Manufacturing for Europe at Beiersdorf, and Markus Haupt, Vice President of Production and Logistics at Seat, will star in the debate.

The second round table will focus on the impact of European governance on economic and business competitiveness, in a session that will be opened by Enric Juliana, deputy director of "La Vanguardia". Moderated by Miguel Otero-Iglesias, Senior Analyst at Real Instituto Elcano, the session will feature the participation of Agustín Escobar, CEO of Siemens Spain; Carles Navarro, CEO of BASF Spain; Idoya Arteagabeitia González, Director of Corporate Regulation at Telefónica, and Peter Ploeger, CEO of Boehringer Ingelheim.
