Ravil Maganov, vice president of Lukoil, the second largest Russian oil company, died this Thursday after falling from a hospital window, according to several Russian media reports, which do not specify, however, what caused the fall.
The 67-year-old senior executive was being treated at the Moscow Central Clinical Hospital, in a unit located on the sixth floor, according to the Interfax agency.
The Telegram Mash channel points out that it could be a suicide, although there is no confirmation in this regard. According to this medium, Maganov had heart disease.
Police in the Russian capital reported the death of a man in said hospital after falling from a window, but did not give his name. He is investigating the scene and has launched an investigation.
In the 1980s Ravil Maganov worked at Langepasneftegaz, a company that later became part of Lukoil, an oil company created in 1991. Maganov is credited with originating the company's name, "Lukoil."
Since 1993 he has been part of the Board of Directors, and in 2020 he chaired it.
