The swan of the River Ter, an autumn attraction

The Ter River swan is an autumn attraction as it passes through the town of Manlleu, in the Osona region, where it can be seen taking a few good dips in the company of cormorants, as seen in Readers' Photos from La Vanguardia.

The contrast between both types of birds is striking, with the immaculate white of the elegant swan compared to the dark tone of the cormorants.

You can see them in action from the shore while we walk the Vora Ter path, which runs through the Osona region and is part of the GR 210 long-distance trail.

The itinerary crosses old textile colonies, riverside forests, mid-mountain forests, towns and agricultural and industrial spaces, places that have in common the ancestral use of the river.

The Vora Ter goes from Torelló to Manlleu, 20 km long, although when the trail is completed, if we continue, we will link the high mountain area of Ulldeter with the Costa Brava in Torroella de Montgrí, crossing natural areas of the sea, plain and the mountain

The cormorant captures fish by propelling itself with its legs and diving for more than a minute in the water, reaching a depth of 10 meters. And, when it goes outside, it is also quite an attraction to watch its wings dry in the sun.
