The sublime electric bikes with which Porsche celebrates its 75th anniversary

This 2023, one of the most prestigious firms in the automotive sector commemorates its 75 years of existence. Porsche, the German brand specializing in luxury sports cars, and more recently also in SUVs, is celebrating and does so with several exclusive events and premieres, such as the debut of two of its two new vehicles: its new Cross electric bicycles Performance and Cross Performance EXC.

For the last two years, Porsche has been expanding its role in the growing industry of electrified bikes, but now it takes a quantum leap with the arrival of this pair of novelties.

Porsche's new two-wheeled gems, the Cross Performance and Cross Performance EXC, are very similar in the way they're built and the components that go into each. The main difference is that the EXC version has a greater variety of colors, specifically, it is available in six of the brand's most iconic colors.

The frames of these electric bikes have been designed by Studio F.A. Porsche and are inspired by the lines of the iconic 911 and Taycan automobiles. The layout and composition of the carbon fiber is the work of the Rotwild team, who have collaborated with Porsche since the beginning of the car brand's cycling adventure.

Both bikes are designed to be used on a wide variety of terrain, including urban centers, highways, mountain trails, and slopes. The latter is deduced from the design of the frame with front and rear integral suspension, designed to give the vehicle high damping power in curves, potholes and uneven terrain in general. The motor that drives them is a Shimano of the EP801 series with a maximum torque of 85 Nm, powered by a 630 Wh battery.

Other exclusive components include Crankbrothers carbon fiber rims, a carbon handlebar, a dropper seatpost and Magura disc brakes with four-piston calipers. And it is that these Porsche electric bicycles have nothing to envy to big names in cycling such as Treks, Specialized or Cannondale.

As expected, the price of these bicycles is in line with their premium category and ranges between 13,300 euros and 14,300 euros depending on the model, the size chosen and the finish. Within Porsche's refund policy, the brand allows you to try them after purchasing them for a maximum of 30 days and if you are not satisfied, you can return them and they refund the money to the user.

Whether you are a fan of the brand's cars or you are looking for an electric bike to get the most out of it, be sure to watch the video that accompanies this article, in which you can see the Cross Performance and the Cross Performance EXC in full action .
