In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see how the sun rises through the abysses of Pla de Fàbregues, illuminating what we see on the right of the image, the spectacular Agullola de Rupit, an abyss separated from the rest and with a height of 921 .9 meters.
This Collsacabra abyss is located in Rupit and is visible from many parts.
The thin clouds have acted as a filter, being able to photograph the sun directly without dazzling and, at the same time, being able to see its spots or eruptions.
A sunspot is a region of the sun that has a lower temperature than its surroundings and with intense magnetic activity. It consists of a dark central region, called the "umbra," surrounded by a lighter "penumbra."
A single spot can measure up to 12,000 km (almost as large as the diameter of the Earth), but a group of spots can reach 120,000 km in size or more.
