Although it continues to dominate the dry landscape, there are also signs that the reservoir is gaining water as a result of the recent spring rains and the thaw, as can be seen in these comparative images in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.
There are ruins of the old town of Sant Romà that had been exposed and are being submerged again, disappearing due to the increase in the water flow of the reservoir.
The clearest example is the old mill and flour mill. In this first image we can see how it looked five weeks ago, practically everything in sight. On the other hand, the other photograph shows us how it is today, April 8, almost completely disappeared in the waters of the swamp.
In these other photographs you can see how the water level is submerging the ruins that had been visible in the swamp, even the causeway is now approaching the church of Sant Romà.
To give us an idea, the Sau reservoir is currently at 7.28% of its capacity, better than last year at this same time, when it was at 6.56%.
