The Rayo captain confirms De Tomás's interest in returning to Vallecas

A few hours before the transfer market closes, it is already clear that it was Raúl de Tomás who has sought to leave Espanyol from the beginning. So much so, that he is even willing to return to Rayo Vallecano, a team in which he shone five years ago. This was revealed by Óscar Trejo, the Rayo Vallecano captain, who in an interview in Relevo said he had spoken with De Tomás, who had confirmed his intentions.

At this point, everything seems possible in the case of De Tomás. Espanyol would be negotiating a possible transfer with Rayo, since the Madrid team cannot approach the Madrid clause of 70 million. That seems the intention of the player also.

Óscar Trejo confirmed that De Tomás wants to play for Rayo. "He wants to come. Anything can happen. He was waiting for them to call him, for him to have to catch a train or a plane and for him to be with us tomorrow training," he explained.

A few hours after the closing of the market, Raúl de Tomás did not show up for Espanyol's training session yesterday at the Dani Jarque sports city. Time plays against the club and the player, whose representatives look for offers that can satisfy both parties. Otherwise, they would be condemned to understand each other at least until January.

De Tomás has trained on the sidelines due to alleged physical discomfort since he returned from his vacation in July. After an intense summer debate about which of the two parties was causing the divorce, the situation has become entrenched and the player has not played a single minute with the team this season.
