The PSOE denounces New Year's Eve in Ferraz to the Prosecutor's Office for a hate crime and points to Vox

The PSOE has filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office for the events that occurred on New Year's Eve next to the national headquarters on Ferraz Street in which a doll with the image of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, was beaten. The socialists point to a possible crime of inciting hatred and highlight the relationship of the protest organizers with Vox.

In its writing, the PSOE points out that the protesters "hanged" a human-sized doll that they identified with the President of the Government, they point out the presenters of the event, which was broadcast by several media outlets, and also include the acts of vandalism against numerous headquarters throughout Spain during the last weeks.

They also influence the relationship that in their opinion exists between the organizers of the protest - the Revuelta association - and Santiago Abascal's party and establish a link between the acts and the statements of the Vox leader in which he said that there will be a moment when the people want to hang Sánchez by his feet.

Finally, the socialists have chosen to point out that these acts may constitute a possible crime of inciting hatred due to their political ideology. As this type of crime can only be applied if it is carried out against vulnerable groups, the PSOE points out that it was persecuted during the Franco dictatorship.

Furthermore, in the complaint they point out that the events of New Year's Eve in Ferraz may constitute other crimes of insults against the authority in the exercise of their office, serious insults and threats to the Government of the Nation, threats to the President of the Government and incitement to violence.
