The protagonist of 'The Time Between Seams' wears 25 wardrobe changes

After a tour of Spanish theaters and with the pandemic in the way, the musical The Time Between Seams arrives in Barcelona, at the Apolo Theater, based on the best-selling novel by María Dueñas.

Félix Amador has written the adaptation and Iván Macías has composed the music for Sira Quiroga's story, in a Beon Entertainment production that the author has advised. Sira's costumes are by Lorenzo Caprile.

“In the work, what is not said is more important than what is said,” explains the artistic director, Federico Barrios Fierro. The character of Sira, played by Alba Cuartero or Cristina Picos, is very hard, because she is on stage all the time. When she leaves the scene it is to do one of the 25 dress changes that she has.”

The vocal director, María José Santos, adds: “He is a character with great vocal difficulty, because he sings all the time and has to measure his strength very well to improve throughout the work. In addition, very different musical styles are performed.”

The producer, Dario Regattieri, gives details of the setting to La Vanguardia: “Everything is in sight, like in a sewing box, so the action happens very dynamically.” Always based on books (The Neverending Story, The Doctor), Beon Entertainment is already preparing the musical of The Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett.

The Swiss producer highlights languages and reveals that the next musical will have two teams, one in Catalan and the other in Spanish, to perform in Barcelona and other Spanish towns.
