The PP asks the PSOE for the Spanish to speak out on the amnesty

"Allow there to be a repeat election and let the Spaniards decide on the amnesty." It is the PP's request to the PSOE, which insists that the socialists do not have the support of their voters to amnesty Puigdemont and therefore is "betraying" not only what the PSOE has always said, but also its voters.

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, insisted this Friday on accusing the Government of thinking only about its private interest, and not that of the citizens, and that it is willing to "give in to the blackmail" of the independentists and the amnesty depends "of the interest of two politicians, one a fugitive from justice who wants to return, and another who wants to stay as president."

The number two of the PP therefore accused the socialists of "a lot of cynicism, a lot of hypocrisy and obscurantism", since "they do not show their face" and yet they are already preparing the staging "and the photo" with Puigdemont, to achieve the investiture, even if he has to grant amnesty to do so.

Cuca Gamarra lamented that in Spain, instead of talking about the Granada Summit and the issues that are being debated there: immigration, the war in Ukraine, the enlargement of the European Union, or relations with Latin America, "there is talk of amnesty, which is not in the interest of 48 million Spaniards, but only of two, Puigdemont and Sánchez."

For the PP, which, he assures, "is used to resisting blackmail," the actions of the PSOE" are "unworthy of allowing themselves to be blackmailed," which they also consider to be an "anomaly at the European level," since there is no " politicians amnesty other politicians who attacked the constitutional order, to remain in power."

Cuca Gamarra also reiterated his request from Thursday that the president of Congress, Francina Armengol, set a date for Pedro Sánchez's investiture, and announced that if she does not set it, next week she will officially ask the president to the date is set, "which cannot be given to the candidate", because "it cannot be in the hands of Sánchez, but is a decision of the president of Congress."
