This Tuesday, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested the current partner of Fátima D., the resident of Torroella de Montgrí (Girona), 45 years old and of Moroccan origin, found stabbed to death inside a car last Sunday, for her alleged connection to the murder.
The man appeared in Flaçà (Girona) where investigators arrested him this Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. According to sources close to the case, it would be a neighbor from Palafrugell (Girona), also of Moroccan origin, with whom the woman would have been dating and with whom they apparently had various problems caused by jealousy.
The victim was found dead by his family thanks to the location of his cell phone in an area of fields at the mouth of the Ter, in the driver's seat of a vehicle that his mechanic had left him because his own had broken down.
Since the body appeared, the investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) who are handling the case have been collecting all possible clues and evidence from inside the vehicle to try to find the perpetrator.
In addition, they have been reconstructing the last hours of her life, interrogating the woman's environment, who also has three brothers who live in nearby towns and a 17-year-old son.
According to the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia, “there is no complaint between the victim and her current partner” and the Investigative Court 3 of Bisbal d'Empordà that is handling the case maintains the secret of the summary.
