Leader in the development of comprehensive preparations for Mercedes-Benz automobiles for more than four decades, Brabus has signed what is its most powerful creation to date: the Brabus 930. The propulsion engineers of the prestigious high-end German brand have taken to the limit the hybrid technology of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance to make it even more radical and performance-oriented.
They focused, in a first step, on their 4-liter biturbo V8 internal combustion engine to achieve an increase in performance through exhaustive modifications to the larger turbochargers, together with a larger compressor to achieve a boost pressure of 1.8 bar.
Revised injection and ignition maps, recalibration of the electronic control modules and endless tuning tests on the power bank rollers and the circuit asphalt resulted in a total system power of 930 HP with an unmatched engine torque of 1,550 Nm. Despite a curb weight close to 2.4 tons, the road performance of the Brabus 930 with all-wheel drive says it all: top electronically limited to 316 km/h and acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds .
Another key aspect of the 930 is its Brabus sports exhaust with integrated and actively controlled butterfly valves. With the push of a button, this system's four titanium and carbon exhaust outlets produce an exciting and powerful sound in the Sport position, or a remarkably quiet tone for its V8 block in Coming Home mode.
The star's signature four-door coupe also features numerous exposed carbon components that give it not only a sporty appearance, but also even more optimized aerodynamics. Brabus Monoblock Z ten-spoke forged wheels measuring 21” on the front axle and 22” on the rear complete the challenging appearance of the German supercar. As usual, Brabus has also refined the cabin of the Stuttgart fastback with an elegant interior crafted in the company's upholstery workshop that combines fine black leather with red stitching and carbon sports elements.
