The League supports Martinez Munuera

The LaLiga Delegated Commission, meeting today, issued a harsh statement against the complaint presented by Real Madrid against the referee Juan Martínez Munuera for not reflecting in the minutes the chants and insults against Vinícius in the Osasuna -Real Madrid last Saturday at the Sadar.

LaLiga accuses the white club of pressuring the referees in order to “obtain a competitive advantage.” This is not a new attitude from the clubs' employers. The president of Laliga, Javier Tebas, has criticized Real Madrid on numerous occasions for the videos against the referees that are broadcast before and after matches by the club's official channel, Real Madrid TV.

Among the clubs that have already denounced these practices is Sevilla, which filed a complaint with the Competition Committee, which rejected it. Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, the CEO and largest shareholder of Atlético, has also had very harsh words in this regard.

The Delegate Commission of La Liga is made up of Javier Tebas, Gil Marín, Quico Catalán, former president of Levante, and the general directors of Sevilla, Betis, Real Sociedad, Cádiz, Villarreal, Getafe, Tenerife, Valladolid, Leganés, Zaragoza, Eibar and Huesca.

In its statement, LaLiga could not be clearer: “The Delegated Commission, meeting today, wishes, following the complaint that Real Madrid CF has made against the referee Martínez Munuera before the Real Madrid Disciplinary Committee "Spanish Football Federation, express its absolute rejection of the complaint presented by Real Madrid and express its unequivocal support for Juan Martínez Munuera and, by extension, for the Spanish arbitration group."

And it continues: “The League, in its firm commitment to eradicating all forms of violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in football, in addition to carrying out numerous awareness and prevention campaigns, reports to the RFEF Disciplinary Committee and to the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports of the CSD, all those actions produced in the matches of the First and Second Division National League Championships, which may constitute the aforementioned infractions.

In this sense, "the LALIGA Delegate Commission considers that this complaint is one more manifestation of the merciless campaign undertaken by Real Madrid CF against the Spanish referees, with the presumed intention of putting pressure on said establishment, in order to obtain a competitive advantage. with the decisions that said group has to make.”

And it ends: "As the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) has indicated and accredited, Mr. Martínez Munuera's way of proceeding has been impeccable and has scrupulously adjusted to the regulations that govern refereeing. Any other interpretation that can be made from the facts is, simply, spurious.”

Osasuna also denied on Monday that racist chants against Vinícius took place at Sadar. The thin referee's report did, however, include seven episodes of degrading insults against Vinícius and Real Madrid such as “Yes, yes, what a bitch Real Madrid”, “Die Vinícius” and Vinícius “dumb”.
