The Court of First Instance 2 of Sabadell (Barcelona) has rejected the request of the two suspects in the murder of Helena Jubany in 2001, who asked that the investigation into them be archived. In an order consulted by Europa Press this Friday, the judge considers, like the private prosecution and the Prosecutor's Office, that it is early to file the case for them because there are still proceedings to continue the investigation.
In another order, the judge urges the Criminalistics Section of the University of Forensic Genetics of the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Scientific Police of Madrid to complete their report on the remains of DNA on the jersey that Jubany was wearing.
