The great tree of dawn in Llobera

In La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos we can contemplate the colorful sunrise in Llobera, in Solsonès, where the candlelight draws a reddish sky, generating shadows on the buildings and on the large tree that branches towards the sky.

Llobera is one of the three population entities or towns that are part of this municipality. Although not officially, the capital is located precisely in L'Hostal Nou.

This municipality, open to rural tourism, is a clear example of the Solsonès plateau, with small mountain ranges and gentle hills. The maximum altitude is reached in El Pedró (871.1 meters).

You can visit several churches: Sant Pere de Llobera, Santa Maria de Torredenegó, Sant Pere Mártir de Peracamps, Santa Maria de Montraveta, Sant Quirze de la Coma, Sant Pere de la Sala, Sant Isidre de Falou and Sant Salvador.

Other heritage elements of interest are the Llobera castle (it dates back to at least the 11th century), the Peracamps Tower (from the year 1000, although it later became famous for being the scene of the battles between the Carlists and the Liberals in 1837 and 1840), the Dolmen de la Vila and the Creu de la Vila.
