The first debate to six faces Moreno, Espadas, Marín, Nieto, Olona and Rodríguez

Not without a few setbacks and script changes, Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) is broadcasting this Monday, June 6, the first of the two six-party debates planned during the June 19 election campaign between the main candidates for the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, and that will face the head of the PSOE-A cartel, Juan Espadas; PP-A, Juanma Moreno; Citizens (Cs), Juan Marín; 'For Andalusia', Inmaculada Nieto; Vox, Macarena Olona, and Adelante Andalucía, Teresa Rodríguez.

This debate is part of the information coverage plan for the aforementioned Andalusian elections proposed by RTVE, and will take place after the Andalusian Electoral Board dismissed the appeal filed against it by the coalition 'Por Andalucía' -backed by IU, Más País , Podemos, Verdes Equo, Initiative of the Andalusian People and Alianza Verde-, contrary to the participation in this debate of the candidate of Adelante Andalucía, Teresa Rodríguez.

Specifically, from 'Por Andalucía' it was argued in its appeal against the RTVE plan -and also in the one it presented against the one drawn up by Radio Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA), which contemplates a debate of the same characteristics- that Adelante Andalucía "It did not obtain representation in the last regional elections nor does it hold the status of a significant political group."

However, the JEA dismissed that claim by pointing out that the Adelante Andalucía candidacy led by Teresa Rodríguez in these elections brings together a "significant number of deputies of the Andalusian Parliament in the previous legislature" on its lists, and to prioritize the principle of "political pluralism", which "is enriched by the participation of a political force" in it "provided, of course, that the participation in that debate of those who enjoy a preferential legal situation or position due to its results is also respected elections", according to the Andalusian Electoral Board.

Against this resolution of the JEA there was a possibility of appeal that would have to be addressed by the Central Electoral Board, although from 'Por Andalucía' it was finally waived to appeal that issue regarding the participation of the Adelante candidate in the debates to six.

Thus, this debate will be broadcast from 10:05 p.m. this Monday through La 1 de TVE, among other RTVE channels, with a total duration of 110 minutes, and will be held at the Seville headquarters of the territorial center of RTVE in Andalusia moderated by its director, Paloma Jara, and by the presenter of 'The night in 24 hours', Xabier Fortes.

It is expected that, in addition to La 1 on TVE, the debate will be broadcast on Canal 24 Horas, on Radio 5 on RNE and in streaming on RTVE.es and the 'RTVE Play' platform.

According to the terms of the agreement adopted last Wednesday, June 1, by the political groups participating in this debate, consulted by Europa Press, at the beginning of the broadcast, each candidate will have an initial minute whose order of interventions has been chosen from the highest to less parliamentary representation, thus beginning with the candidate of the PSOE-A, Juan Espadas, who will be followed in this first turn by the candidates of the PP-A, Cs, Por Andalucía, Vox and Adelante Andalucía.

Next, the debate will consist of three blocks of 30 minutes each, which will be those of 'Economy, employment, taxation'; 'Education, health, social services and equality', and 'The territorial challenge, regional financing, democratic regeneration and post-election agreements'.

Each candidate will have a speaking time of five minutes in each block, of which the first will be opened by the Cs candidate, Juan Marín, and closed by the head of the 'Por Andalucía' poster, Inmaculada Nieto, according to determined by lottery, which is how it has also been decided that Vox -Macarena Olona- will open the second block which, in turn, will close Cs, while the 'Por Andalucía' candidate will open the third block, which will close Teresa Rodríguez, from Forward Andalusia.

After the second block there will be a three-minute break in which a member of each candidate's team will be allowed access to the set and make-up and hairdressing touch-ups will be possible.

Finally, each candidate will have a turn of one final minute of time, which will start Teresa Rodríguez, whose speech will be followed by those of Macarena Olona, Inmaculada Nieto, Juan Marín, Juan Espadas and Juanma Moreno, since the groups have agreed that it be the PP-A representative who closes the final minute when the PSOE-A candidate opens the initial minute.
