The father of the missing children warded by the Generalitat is released

The Lleida guard court yesterday released the father of the four minors kidnapped from a guardianship center in Raimat, in Segrià (Lleida), with charges. He had been arrested by the Mossos d'Esquadra late on Friday.

The Mossos continue to search for the mother who could have gone to Romania with the minors, who are between 4 and 11 years old, while continuing to investigate the family's environment in Mollerussa.

Minors are under the tutelage of the Generalitat, through the General Directorate of Child Care and Adolescence (DGAIA).

The father of the minors is 33 years old and was arrested in Mollerussa, according to the newspaper Segre.

The juvenile center reported the abduction of the children on Friday afternoon.

Close sources explained that the minors were not in the Raïmat center when they were taken but were outside, on a scheduled visit.

Sources close to the case have explained to ACN that the minors were not abducted by their parents but rather it was people known to the children who took them.

The mother had a scheduled visit with the children on Saturday and did not show up. It seems that the children had to go with a foster family in a few days and the biological family did not see it well.

The DGAIA works in coordination with the Mossos to find children who cannot be with their parents for various reasons and that is why their guardianship has been withdrawn.
