The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested three people this Monday, a couple aged 18 and 19, and the brother of one of them under 15 years old, accused of stabbing and kicking a 27-year-old neighbor of Russian nationality who had previously He argued with the minor over a dog, in the Pep Ventura square in Badalona. In addition to the incident involving the animal, the victim and his aggressors not only knew each other but also had been involved in some previous conflict, according to what sources familiar with an investigation that is still open have told this newspaper.
The events took place around ten thirty at night when the minor was walking with his dog in that square and the neighbor argued over the animal. Several witnesses claimed that the victim attacked the minor. The fact is that the boy went to his house and returned to the square with his brother and his girlfriend. The neighbor was still in the square. The three fell on top of the man and while the two brothers allegedly stabbed him, the woman kicked him in the head. That sequence is what some witnesses described to the police, although investigators are now trying to confirm the authorship of the fatal injuries based on the victim's autopsy.
The scene prompted several calls to 112 and the arrival of patrols from the Mossos d'Esquadra of Badalona and an ambulance from the Servei d'Emergències Mèdiques (CME) that transported the man in critical condition to the Can Ruti hospital. One of the stab wounds went directly through his heart. The man entered the operating room but died. The police shortly after arrested the three suspects who in the next few hours would be brought to justice, the minor to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and the adults to the court on duty.
The homicide group of the Criminal Investigation Area (AIC) of the Mossos d'Esquadra of the northern metropolitan police region has taken charge of the investigation.
