Carvajal has explained that apparently the gas explosion was caused on the first floor, where the body was found, on the first C, although he has qualified that it is being investigated and definitive information is missing, so it is not yet certain that it happened at that point.

The event, of which the National and Local Police received notice at 10:45 p.m., after which they arrived at the scene, just as the Firefighters did, injured eleven people, although the provisional list of the Emergency Service initially included to ten with ages between 22 and 89 years.

The acting councilor has specified that six of the injured were taken to the University Clinical Hospital, where they have already been discharged, and another five to the Río Hortega Hospital, where two are in the ICU, stable within gravity, another two in observation and one has been discharged.

He has clarified that the two people who are in the ICU do not have burns, although they have been affected by smoke inhalation and one of them, elderly, suffers from previous cardiorespiratory pathologies.

Carvajal, who has specified that there are no minors among the injured, has stated that the property in which the explosion occurred is made up of twenty homes, although due to the dates, a large part of the residents were on vacation at the time of the event, and He has said that it was necessary to evacuate twelve people, nine of them by scale and the rest by their own means.

Of the people who had to be evacuated, four were housed in hotels in the city, specified the acting mayor, who stated that the City Council is concerned first and foremost about the people, who had psychological care given the impact of what happened. and in some cases also from the health emergency services due to anxiety crises.

He has explained that the accommodation of people in the affected building in hotels is a provisional solution, since a more stable response is going to be proposed with the bag of the municipal housing and land society of Valladolid, VIVA, where there are nine houses for accommodate those who need it.
