The Easter return operation causes delays on different routes to Madrid

The Easter return operation this Easter Sunday afternoon is causing delays on the A-1, A-2, A-3, A-5, A-6 and A-42 highways to Madrid.

According to data from the General Directorate of Traffic consulted by Europa Press at 6:30 p.m., the road with the highest incidents is the Northern Highway (A-1), there are traffic jams at kilometers 44 -El Molar-, 49 -Sierra Lagos-, and 56 -Cabanilles de la Sierra-.

For its part, the Northeast Highway (A-2) registers traffic jams at three points in Guadalajara in the Madrid direction: at kilometer 73 in Torija, at kilometer 93 in Argecilla, and at kilometer 103 in Almadrones. Also in Castilla-La Mancha, heading to the capital, the Autovía del Este (A-3) has a traffic jam at kilometer 75, in the municipality of Belinchón, Cuenca.

Finally, on the Toledo Highway (A-42) there is traffic congestion in Illescas, at kilometer 37, and between Humanejos and El Prado and Fuenlabrada, between kilometers 23 and 19.

According to data from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), a total of 26 people have died in 22 road accidents so far in the special Easter operation, from Friday, March 22 at 3 p.m. until this Sunday at 8:00 p.m.
