The dahlia garden with views of Pedraforca

In the field in front of Pedraforca where there was a tulip plantation there is now a garden of dahlias that these days of early September are in all the splendor of flowering, as can be seen in The Readers' Photos of La Vanguardia.

It is a pleasure to contemplate this field of flowers planted in front of a natural setting that has as a backdrop the mountain that runs from the Encija mountain range, which passes in front of Pedraforca and ends with the bare summit of Comabona.

This postcard produces a very unique, prodigious effect on the spirit. It is the ephemeral floral beauty enveloped by the mountainous formations that have been formed over thousands and millions of years. The conjunction of unimaginable persistence with the most evident transience.

The peculiar shape of Pedraforca stands out in the background, due to its two peaks separated by a large hill, which gives it its name.

The northern summit is composed of two peaks: the Pollegó Superior (2506 m) next to the Calderer (2505 m). The south is formed by Pollegó Inferior (2445 m).
