The comedian Don Mauro dies suddenly

His name was Mauro Muñiz de Urquiza although he was known by the pseudonym with which he achieved success in theaters and in television series. The Madrid actor and comedian Don Mauro has died suddenly at the age of 58.

His popularity came when he participated as a stand-up stand-up in Paramount Comedy, although he was also part of the cast of successful television series such as 'La que se avecina', 'Sin tetas no hay paraíso', 'Hospital Central', 'Aída' and 'Los hombres Of paco'. Muñiz de Urquiza also appeared in films such as 'Pagafantas' or 'No Controles' as well as different plays. A versatile artist, he was part of music groups such as La Cabra Mecánica.

Son of the Gijón writer Mauro Muñiz and brother of the journalist Paloma de Urquiza, his intellectual concerns also led him to the field of writing and music, in which he stood out as a screenwriter, writer and composer.

Active on social networks, he dedicated his last post on Instagram just four days ago to denounce racism in language. It is in the comments of this last participation where different condolence messages are appearing from his followers, such as: "I can't believe you left so soon. Make heaven laugh a lot, Mauro. We will miss you." Or also: "I can't believe it, you were so full of life..."

His professional colleagues have also mourned his sudden death, such as Luis Piedrahita, who has highlighted Don Mauro as "a comedian through and through, one of the usual ones. A committed, cultured and knowledgeable uncle."

The mortal remains of Mauro Muñiz de Urquiza currently rest in the Alcobendas funeral home.
