Around fifteen Les Corts cleaning workers have not been paid since September, when the external company that managed them, Grupo Scorpio SL, stopped paying and disappeared without the possibility for the employees to contact it. .
As the person in charge of the cleaning teams, Juanmi Luján, explained to Europa Press, they have not been paid anything for "almost six months", except for six days in the month of January - which they were working since the new company entered. This month of February will be the first in which they will charge normally. However, they have not yet collected the arrears, although he hopes it will arrive in the next few days.
At the beginning of this week, a meeting took place in the courts in which an agreement was reached for the payment of the debt to the workers, which is assumed by the new concessionaire, the Sociedad de Agricultores de la Vega (SAV).
As Europa Press has learned, the deadline for payment of the debt is seven business days. Therefore, workers hope to receive the money before the end of the month.
