The Bucks win, but Antetokounmpo suffers a sprained wrist

Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo, star of the Milwaukee Bucks, sprained his right wrist in the game that his team won against the Chicago Bulls (112-100). After the game, the player underwent an X-ray that ruled out serious injuries. as reported by his coach, Mike Budenholzer.

"We are optimistic, the x-ray came out clean. He has a sprain. I think we will see how he feels in the next few days, and we will continue to monitor him," explained the coach at the United Center in Chicago.

Antetokounmpo, who was to captain his team to Sunday's All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, retired in the second quarter and returned to the locker room with a visibly sore right hand.

He left the game with two points and seven assists and had just become the player with the most assists in Bucks history, surpassing Paul Pressey's record of 3,272.

Budenholzer assured that he has "no idea" about whether Giannis will be able to attend the all-star game next Sunday.

The Milwaukee Bucks added their twelfth consecutive victory and placed just one game behind the East leaders, the Boston Celtics. The Chicago Bulls, for their part, suffered their fifth consecutive loss, and they missed DeMar DeRozan, out with a muscle problem.

Antetokounmpo is already the Bucks' top scorer, the one with the most assists, the one with the most blocks and the one with the most free throws. Plus, he's less than 500 rebounds shy of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record.
