The best way to appreciate the beautiful geographical geometry of La Garrotxa is from a bird's eye view. This is how we can contemplate the landscapes of the region in their breadth and detail, when they show us a combination of colors and spectacular symmetries observed everything from the air.

And the best way to do it is by traveling by balloon, a means of transportation that has allowed us to prepare this extensive photographic report for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

In these images we see the landscape of La Garrotxa at sunrise, with the fog as a guest, and with the contrast of color and lines between the fields, roads and forests.

La Garrotxa is biodiversity. It is a land of volcanoes, wild nature landscapes and Mediterranean vegetation that merges with the Atlantic in its most humid places.

This region is home to some medieval towns, such as Santa Pau, which was built around a castle, and Besalú, with its Romanesque bridge, which we see in one of the photographs.

There is a network of trails that connects the Pyrenees with the Mediterranean Sea and that crosses the Alta Garrotxa area, but, on this occasion, the route is not on foot or by bicycle, but by air, in a balloon, which has allowed capture these images.
