The 22-year-old woman arrested for allegedly having slit the throat of her newborn baby after giving birth at her home in a municipality in the province of Valencia will be brought to justice this Thursday, according to sources from the Civil Guard.
The woman, who lives with her parents, had hidden the pregnancy and after giving birth at home without assistance, she suffered a hemorrhage, so she went to the hospital accompanied by her parents.
Apparently, the woman cut the baby's throat and hid the body in a closet, where it was found by the parents, who alerted the Civil Guard.
The woman was arrested for an alleged crime of murder and is scheduled to be brought into custody this Thursday.
