Capital punishment is a crime for natural reasons (deletes life), legal (life is a legal good), moral (life is an inalienable right) and religious (life belongs to God). The death penalty is immoral and also useless: it does not correct the crime, nor does it compensate, nor does it prevent it. It is another crime, and our duty, in a society with few ethical references, is to remember it and make it remembered.
