Sánchez assures that the PSOE occupies the centrality of the political system in the face of a "bottomless" PP

"The problem in our country is that we no longer have a center right, we have a hard right and an extreme right," warned Pedro Sánchez, in response to Alberto Núñez Feijóo's claim, expressed in the interview published today in Abc, to "re-found a broad center-right party." "Here, in the PSOE, is the centrality of the political system, the guarantee that we can continue advancing for four more years," said the Prime Minister at the intense rally that he staged this Thursday in Lugo, before 4,000 supporters, according to figures from the organization.

Sánchez is doing the rest in the final stages of this electoral campaign. If the perspectives of the Socialists were twisted after the only face-to-face that Sánchez held with Feijóo at the beginning of the campaign, in the leadership of the PSOE they assure that there has been a turnaround since last Saturday, driven by "a huge mobilization of the left" to block the way for a possible government of the Popular Party and the extreme right of Vox.

And this has been underlined by the leader of the PSOE at the rally held in Lugo. "I am very excited, because we are going to win the elections," Sánchez exclaimed, in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm, despite the fact that most of the polls predict the victory of the PP. "There is an impressive mobilization of progressive Spain that is going to take us on the wings to victory on July 23," he assured. "And this victory is going to taste great for us", he celebrated.

“We are going to win the elections because the PSOE arrives absolutely exhausted and we are in the comeback”, Sánchez assured to great applause.

The President of the Government has criticized the absence of Feijóo the day before, in the electoral debate organized by RTVE, which the leader of the PP did not attend. “In a democracy, the substance is as important as the forms. And in a democracy, the procedures must be respected, the moments that are sacred for citizens in an electoral campaign, and the debates are, ”he warned. The absence of Feijoo in the debate on the public channel, therefore, "is an absolute lack of respect for the citizens and for Spanish democracy," he criticized.

Sánchez, however, has warned that "it is evident" why Feijóo refused to attend the debate in which Santiago Abascal and Yolanda Díaz also participated. "It was not because it was impossible to respond to all the mountains of lies that have been spreading in this campaign," he denounced. But the leader of the PP did not attend the debate either, as he has highlighted, "because he is ashamed of appearing together with Abascal."

Feijóo, in the opinion of Sánchez, “it is not that he is ashamed of Abascal's votes, he has no problem accepting them; It is not that he is ashamed of assuming Abascal's policies, he is doing it wherever they are co-governing; It is not that he is ashamed of governing with Abascal, it is that he is ashamed of seeing them together. For this reason, he has insisted, the PP leader did not attend the debate on RTVE.

And he has resolved that Feijóo's non-appearance, as also happens in sport, awards victory to whoever does show up to play the match. "Feijóo, without opening his mouth yesterday, miserably lost the debate," Sánchez assured. "He said everything, without saying a word", he has settled. After this debate, the President of the Government concluded, "I have it even more clear: on July 23 we are going to win the elections." “Victory is near!” he has cried.
