The interior of the Independance Club nightclub, next to the Glorieta de Atocha in the heart of Madrid, was the scene of a series of mass fights between customers. The establishment's security employees were unable to stop it and notified the Municipal Police.
Once inside the premises, and given the magnitude of people participating in three simultaneous brawls, the Municipal Police officers decided to order the evacuation of the nightclub.
Officers detained two women and a man for participating in the brawl, and four officers were injured (three of them required hospital care).
The fight took place early Wednesday morning, shortly before five in the morning, according to police sources detailed to EFE. Inside the premises, located on Atocha Street, next to the Teatro Kapital room, a session called 'Zenit' was being held.
