A man was seriously injured this Wednesday after he was attacked with a large knife in the middle of the street in the Ca n' Anglada neighborhood of Terrassa (Barcelona). According to what sources familiar with the case have informed Europa Press, the aggressor and the victim already knew each other before the events.
Apparently, the two men were on the terrace of a bar when they began to argue for unknown reasons. Finally, the dispute ended with one of them leaving the establishment to go to a nearby butcher shop and grab a knife with the intention of attacking the other.
Upon seeing what was happening, witnesses at the scene called the emergency services and the Local Police and Mossos d'Esquadra devices were activated. When the agents arrived, they applied a tourniquet to the victim and then took him to a hospital.
The authorities have initiated a police operation to arrest the alleged perpetrator, who has fled.
