Sarah Paulson helped Pedro Pascal financially when the actor had no money to eat

It is well known to all that Hollywood actors Pedro Pascal and Sarah Paulson maintain a beautiful friendship that has been maintained over the years. Both artists can boast great success today, but this was not always the case.

Pascal is on the cusp of his most successful stage as an actor, since a few months ago the series he stars in alongside Bella Ramsey and which has catapulted them to the top, The Last of Us, premiered on HBO. The fiction has been very well received by viewers and critics and has already been renewed for a second season.

Although he is now one of the most beloved artists in the world due to his closeness to fans and his naturalness, Pedro Pascal's life has not always been a field of roses. When he was still a child, his family had to flee Chile during the Pinochet dictatorship, and after several years and much uncertainty, they settled in the United States.

From a very young age it was clear to him that he wanted to dedicate himself to the world of acting, although he knew that it was a very difficult choice. For decades, the Chilean fought hard to fulfill his dream, something he would not have achieved without the help of his "New York family", a group of friends who were always there for him.

Among his closest friends from the American city is actress Sarah Paulson. The artists met at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, when they were preparing to be actors.

In more than one interview, Pascal acknowledged that he spent the entire 1990s auditioning, but that he had a hard time finding roles and that he was forced to earn a living as he could through different jobs, especially as a waiter.

A few days ago, Paulson spoke of that time, acknowledging that she helped Pedro Pascal financially on several occasions: "He has talked about it publicly, but there were times when I gave him my day's salary from a job I was doing so that he had money to eat.

In addition, the artist has declared that she is extremely happy with her current overwhelming success, since she knew what she had struggled to achieve: ''Now everyone wants a little bit of him. And you want it to be successful. And to me, I think, that's the biggest mark of a movie star. I'm ready for him to take the reins from the rom-com guys of the past, like Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson and all of them."

After many years as a bartender in New York and working whatever he found to get ahead, Pascal promised himself that if he didn't get big exposure at 29, he would give up and do something else.

"My vision was that if I didn't get a big exposure by the time I turned 29, it was over. So I was constantly re-adjusting what it meant to commit my entire life to this profession, and letting go of the idea that it was going to be how I thought it would be." when I was a child. There were so many good reasons to let go of that illusion...", he comments, later assuring that it was then that he began to play small roles in series such as Undressed or Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
