Salt prioritizes urbanizing the future Health Campus and expanding the housing stock

Advancing the urbanization of the southern sector to have everything ready for the future Health Campus, finding funding to finish the Coma Cros reform or expanding the public housing park are some of the priorities of the mandate of the Salt City Council (Gironès).

The government team has presented the Municipal Action Plan (PAM) 2023-2027, with more than a hundred actions and investments planned for more than 6 million euros. Among them, there is a new civic center, expanding the cemetery, the new Pla sports court and the Naus Guixeres parking lot.

The municipal government also wants to define the future of the old Gassol textile factory. The Plan revolves around four axes: environment, economic progress, close administration and culture and education.

The mayor of Salt, Jordi Viñas, has stressed that the municipal government plans to make investments worth more than 6 million euros throughout the legislature.

The main projects are the construction of a new civic center (500,000 euros), the Pla sports court (1,200,000 euros), the Naus Guixeres car park (600,000 euros) and the expansion of the cemetery (255,000 euros). In addition, they also plan to allocate 200,000 euros to the north-south bike lane to promote sustainable mobility and 1,100,000 euros to asphalt, sidewalks and lighting.

The Municipal Action Plan includes more than a hundred actions during its mandate linked to four basic axes. In the environment and sustainability section, the drafting of the management plan for the climate shelters, the execution of the Deveses use plan, promoting hours, improving the cleaning and maintenance of the Monar ditch, delivering the Girocleta stand out in Salt, install photovoltaic solar panels in municipal facilities such as the pavilion or promote home composting and increase recycling.
