Rosalía and Björk announce a new joint song

Rosalia and Björk announced this Thursday that they will carry out a joint collaboration for charitable purposes. For a few hours now, the topic has already been partially heard on social networks.

It is a song that aims to protest against fish farms in Iceland and, therefore, the profits obtained will go to the cause.

The Icelandic artist has posted a video on social networks where you can hear the two singing one of the verses. At the moment its title is not known, but it has been confirmed that it will be published this October.

In said video, Björk explains: "I'm offering a song that me and Rosalía sing together. The profits will go to the fight against fish farming in Iceland. It will be released in October. People in Fjord Seyðisfjörður have risen up and protested against fish farming in there. We would like to donate the sales of the song to help with his legal fees and hope that it can be an exemplary case for others."

In the text, while the song plays in the background, it is also stated that Iceland has "the largest wilderness in Europe" but laments that "when Icelandic and Norwegian men started buying fish farms in most of our fjords, it was a big shock and became the main theme of the summer. "We do not understand how they have been able to do this for a decade without regulations that have stopped them," the letter continues.

"This has already had a devastating effect on nature and fish rooks are suffering from horrible health conditions," he continues, highlighting that "they have begun to worsen the DNA of Icelandic salmon and could eventually lead to their extinction." "There is still an opportunity to save the last wild northern salmon and our group wants to challenge these businessmen to withdraw their farms," she stresses, also calling for "strict regulations" in the Icelandic legal system.

"The majority of the nation agrees with us and, therefore, this protest is to put the will of the people in our systems of rules," concludes the message with which this new song, which will be released soon, has been shared.
