Raphinha: “We will not give up until the League is done”

Cisive as rarely before with a goal and, almost more importantly, being the protagonist in the play that ended with the expulsion of the Las Palmas goalkeeper, Raphinha did not hesitate after his team's victory to claim his chances of being champion. The Brazilian assured that Barça will fight for the League “until the end” and, at the same time, denied that Xavi's decision to leave at the end of the season was the trigger that changed the situation.

“There are three points that will be important at the end of this League, we continue fighting until the end and we will not give up until the league is done,” the Barça winger began very animated.

Regarding his team's problems in coming out victorious against a rival with ten, Raphinha assured that it was “a difficult match, we know the quality of this rival. But I think we played a very good game. The important thing is that we win to maintain trust.”

Since the departure of Xavi Hernánez, Barça has added 23 of 27 points. However, for Raphinha it was not his decision that changed the team's dynamic. “Xavi's decision was not what changed the dynamic. We internally talked about what was missing for the team to achieve victories. Between us we knew what we had to do to change what was happening and we are being able to compete in the games and achieve victories,” he concluded.

For his part, one of the captains, Sergi Roberto, assured that the important thing about the night is that “the work is done. It was getting the three points. Madrid has to play tomorrow against a difficult team. 5 points and put pressure.” Furthermore, about Las Palmas he assured that “if you are not good in the pressure they can cause problems, but I think we have been good. We should have won by more goals, but the important thing is the three points,” he concluded.
