PSG-Barça and Madrid-Manchester City, in the Champions League quarterfinals

Barça will face PSG in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The two teams were paired in the draw that took place this afternoon at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland). Therefore, the Barcelona team will face an old and beloved player known as Luis Enrique, who will return to Barcelona as PSG coach. A Parisian team led on the field by Mbappé as the main threat in his last months at the club and that also has a former Barça footballer like Ousmane Dembélé in its ranks. Before the first leg there is no League, so Barça will have more days to prepare for the match.

The rest of the confrontations between the eight best in Europe will be the following: Arsenal-Bayern, At. Madrid-Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid-Manchester City. The whites and Josep Guardiola's team will repeat last season's confrontation when the British team eliminated the Madridistas.

The first legs will be played on April 9 and 10 and the second legs on April 16-17. Before the first leg there is no League, so Barça will have more days to prepare for the match. Before facing the return leg, they will travel to Cádiz (April 13) in the championship and after receiving PSG they will visit the Santiago Bernabéu (April 21).

At the same time, the composition of the team between now and the end of the competition has been revealed. In the event that Barcelona eliminates PSG, they will face each other in the semifinals with the winner of the tie between Atlético de Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, with a hypothetical second leg in Montjuïc. On the other side of the draw, the winner of Real Madrid-City will face the winner of the Arsenal-Bayern tie in the semifinals. In this case, Madrid or City would play the second leg in their stadium. The penultimate round will be played on April 30 and May 1 (first leg) and on May 7 and 8 (second leg). In the final at Wembley (June 1) Barça would be home to London. But there is still a world left for that.
