Police arrest one of Joan Laporta's sons for alleged ill-treatment

One of the sons of the president of Barça, Joan Laporta, has been released without charge after being arrested by the National Police this Sunday accused of ill-treatment, police sources confirm to La Vanguardia. The alleged events have taken place in a central Madrid restaurant where he was having lunch with a woman a few hours before the celebration of El Clásico.

Around 2:30 p.m., the now detained man began to shake his partner, drawing the attention of the escorts of a government minister who was also in the restaurant on Calle Miguel Ángel number 16. The security team has commissioned to the police colleagues who have appeared at the scene of the event.

It was at the moment in which the alleged aggressor was informed that he was going to be arrested when he adopted "a violent attitude", according to the same police sources. It has been the Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM) that has carried out the investigation.

He is accused of an alleged crime of ill-treatment and, late this Sunday, he left the police station.

On the other hand, according to sources close to Barça, it is an episode that concerns the president's private sphere and it is recognized that there was a discussion, but a violent act is denied. It is emphasized that the woman accompanied Laporta's son, even in police stations.
