Podemos dissociates itself from the amnesty proposed by Sumar: "It belongs to Yolanda Díaz, we don't know her"

Podemos has strictly dissociated itself from the legal opinion on the future amnesty law that Sumar has drafted, a document that the purple party claims not to know, as its spokesperson, Isa Serra, has indicated. "It's only Yolanda Díaz's," he pointed out when asked for his opinion on this proposal that would affect 1,400 independence supporters, police officers and the brains of Operation Catalunya.

This was stated in statements to the media before taking part in a regional meeting with activists from Madrid in which the general secretary of the party and acting Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, also participated.

"It is a proposal only from Yolanda Díaz, we did not know it nor do we know it," said Serra in line with what was expressed in this regard by the acting Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, who, after learning about Sumar's initiative, described it as " respectable" although he stressed that it is not the proposal of the socialists. The purple spokesperson, in fact, places the day-to-day life of her purple training in the implementation of proposals to ensure that the country "continues to advance in social and democratic rights."

In this context, Serra has once again demanded measures such as lowering the cost of public transport, putting a cap on rental prices, promoting reforms for democratic deepening, ending the blockade of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and repealing the well-known as a gag law.

Likewise, the purple spokesperson has insisted that Irene Montero must continue to head the Ministry of Equality in the coalition Government that they want to reissue with the PSOE, thus ignoring the intentions of the socialists to keep that portfolio on this occasion.

"It is evident that the international recognition of feminist advances has to do with the fact that Spain has been at the forefront of them," she said, mentioning the so-called 'law of only yes means yes', the reform of the abortion law. , the trans law and Plan Corresponsables, but highlighting that these advances also "have to do" with the fact that Montero has been the minister of the branch.

Serra explained that Podemos has sent its proposals to both Sumar and the PSOE and that he hopes that, in the coming days, as the negotiations for the reissue of the coalition Government progress, these two formations will send them a response.

Furthermore, he has limited the dialogue between Podemos and Sumar to that which takes place within the parliamentary group in Congress, adding that there have been "no more meetings" between its leaders.
