These days, when pellets on the Cantabrian coast are attracting news attention due to the spillage they cause on so many kilometers of beach, it cannot be ignored that plastic waste not only affects the sea.

In Bosnia, the Drina, one of the most emblematic rivers in the country, suffers from waste pollution that leaves no one indifferent due to the spectacular images obtained since the authorities decided to install a barrier to stop floating garbage.

About ten thousand cubic meters of bottles, drums and other compounds are removed every year by workers at a hydroelectric plant in the area near the city of Visegrad and transferred to the municipal landfill.

The problem has increased and seems to be repeated annually and the cleaning tasks have already lasted eleven months.
