Penguin Random House Editorial Group invests 36 million in Cerdanyola del Vallès

Penguin Random House Editorial Group has symbolically placed the first stone of the future logistics distribution center in Cerdanyola del Vallès.

It will cost 36 million euros - 16 will be allocated to technology - and will concentrate the operations carried out by the group among the 5 centers it currently has in Catalonia while also moving the Pallejà warehouse.

It will be built on 40,000 square meters of land that was occupied by the emblematic Aiscondel factory and will come into operation at the beginning of 2025.

The company emphasizes the sustainability of the center and points out that it will allow it to distribute 35 million books a year at a rate of 130,000 a day and reach 36 countries and points of sale in Spain "with greater agility and flexibility," according to its CEO, Nuria Cabutí.
