Paul Pogba in positivo en un control antidoping

Frenchman Paul Pogba, who has suffered a real ordeal due to continuous injuries in the last year, tested positive for testosterone on August 20, in Juventus' debut in Serie A 2023-24 against Udinense.

The Agenzia Ansa, the Italian news agency, was the one who released this information and pointed out that the midfielder, who remained on the bench and did not play for a single minute, was chosen at random and showed high levels of this hormone.

The procedure after testing positive indicates that the midfielder will be provisionally suspended and will have 3 days to request a counter-analysis. If the test is also positive, the footballer will be tried by the Italian national anti-doping court, unless he decides to assume guilt.

In this type of case, if doping is proven, the disqualification can last up to two years, four if there is proven intentionality.

Since his return to Italian football, Pogba has had no luck. Injuries have weighed him down and at the beginning of the season he has barely played 52 minutes in two games, against Bologna and Empoli.
