Neymar asks for the vote for Bolsonaro in a video before the elections in Brazil

Neymar made public who he will vote for in the Brazilian elections to be held next Sunday. The star of Brazil and PSG asked for the vote for the current president and leader of the extreme right Jair Bolsonaro. He did it through a video shared on Tiktok, a social network in which he has more than eight million followers.

In the video, Neymar appears wearing a black cap, dancing, sitting down and smilingly singing an urban music song asking to vote for the current Brazilian president. "Vote, vote and confirm. 22 is Bolsonaro," says the lyrics of the song, which Neymar articulates, although the striker's voice cannot be heard in the video. In the Brazilian elections, each candidate is assigned a number, which the voter enters in the electronic ballot box, and 22 is the one that identifies the leader of the extreme right.

Bolsonaro thanked the footballer for the gesture through Twitter with a video in which, in addition to Neymar, other Brazilian citizens are seen singing and dancing to the song. "Re-election, hexa (world champion). Thank you, Neymar. Brazil above all! God above all!" He wrote on Twitter.

On Wednesday, Bolsonaro visited the Neymar Institute, a foundation that welcomes 3,000 children every day from Praia Grande, a city in the state of Sao Paulo where the player grew up. "I appreciate your illustrious visit. I would very much like to be there but unfortunately I am far away. I hope you take advantage of that visit to the institute, which is the greatest goal I have ever scored and I am very happy that you are there", said the former Barça player sending a kiss in a video shared by one of Bolsonaro's ministers.

A month ago, the head of state published a photo of him with a ball that Neymar would have given him, as a sign of the good relations they maintain.

In the 2018 elections, other former soccer players expressed their support for Bolsonaro, such as Ronaldinho and Rivaldo, in addition to Senator Romário, who is Bolsonaro's partner in the Liberal Party and is running for re-election this Sunday. Neymar is the only member of the seleçao who has publicly shown his intention to vote.

Old glories such as Raï -who also played for Paris SG- and Juninho Pernambucano -former of Olympique de Lyon- have shown their preference for former left-wing president Lula da Silva, who is the favorite in the polls.
