More than 8,300 people visit the Palau de la Música on its open day

More than 8,300 people visited the Palau de la Música Catalana this Sunday during its open day, as announced by the auditorium itself. Part of that public came to participate in some choral singing workshops that the entity organized in its concert hall to test the artistic skills of the attendees.

Visitors were also able to enjoy the four performances offered by the students who participated in the singing workshops, directed by Montse Meneses, deputy director of the Orfeó Català.

The price to visit the Palau this Sunday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. has been one euro, since the music space announced that it would allocate said amount, symbolic, to the Palau Vincles, a socio-musical project of the Palau de la Música that seeks to promote social inclusion of young people and children through singing and whose choir director, Mariona Fernàndez, has co-directed the workshops with Meneses.

Beyond the aforementioned activities, attendees were able to visit the room known as the Lluís Millet room, a rest space located on the main floor, as well as the balcony, which has been opened so that attendees could walk through the garden of columns , all different and crowned by stone capitals with floral motifs, typical of the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

In the Plaza del Palau, the organizers of the Maria Canals Competition made a piano available to the public.
