More than 127,000 vehicles have already left Barcelona over the Constitution Bridge

A total of 127,292 vehicles left the Barcelona Metropolitan Area between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. this Tuesday, as part of the operation leaving the Constitution and Immaculate Conception bridge.

As reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT), the figure represents 28% of the 460,000 vehicles that are scheduled to leave Barcelona and its surroundings between 3:00 p.m. today and tomorrow.

In addition, it has indicated that the more than 127,000 vehicles represent an increase of 12.5% ​​compared to the data for the same period of the previous year.

The SCT expects that this afternoon and Wednesday 460,000 vehicles will leave the Barcelona Metropolitan Area for this long bridge, during which the deployment of almost 1,800 Mossos d'Esquadra agents is planned and that nearly 1,600 police checkpoints will be carried out.

The roads in which there may be the most road problems are the AP-7, C-16, C-17, C-14, N-145, N-260 and A-2, according to the forecast of the SCT, which recommends that Drivers should exercise extreme caution given the high mobility these days.

The special traffic device began this Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. and will end next Sunday, the 10th at 12:00 p.m.

Trànsit expects that in a first departure operation, between this afternoon and tomorrow, Wednesday, Constitution Day, 460,000 vehicles will leave the metropolitan area of ​​Barcelona, ​​which will be followed by a second phase, coinciding with the festivity of the Immaculate Conception, in which less mobility is expected.
