With these words, Shakira collected the Video Vanguard award this past Tuesday, a recognition that great international artists have and with which the Colombian made history by being the first Latin American to receive it.
For her big night at the MTV Video Music Awards, the Hips don't lie singer wanted to be accompanied by her children: Milan, ten years old, and Sasha, eight years old. The little ones had a great time with the applauded performance of her mother, to whom they did not stop showing signs of affection both on the red carpet and during the gala.
Both Shakira and her children wore looks signed by Versace. The singer caught everyone's attention when she arrived at the music awards with a spectacular design of sequins embroidered on silk fabric. A suggestive mermaid silhouette dress that had a heart-shaped neckline and openings in the abdomen with straps that intertwined on her back, which was left uncovered.
Milan and Sasha also attracted attention with their casual and sporty outfits from the Donatella Versace brand. Some eccentric outfits, identical, that cost more than 1,200 euros each. The little ones wore total looks with the characteristic print of the Italian house that belong to the Barocco Kids children's collection.
The style consisted of a hooded sweatshirt that costs 300 euros; black sports pants with a printed stripe that have a price of 250 euros; a black polo shirt with the embroidered Medusa logo, valued at 150 euros, and matching sneakers that cost between 520 and 550 euros depending on the number. The total amount is 1,235 euros, if the shoes are in a size between 20 and 33, or 1,250 euros if they range from size 34 to 38.
For her performance, the singer changed her mermaid dress for a nude outfit with embroidered sequins that allowed her to move spectacularly around the stage. Later, she once again left people speechless with a Greek-inspired dress full of slits.
